When politicans put their own personal interests over that of their fiduciary duty to their constituents, in the hopes of profiting from those actions, it is time for "We the People" to challenge the powers that be!
With total disregarded for common business sense and the objections of many in the Woodbridge Township community, John McCormac had his entire Town Council passed an Ordinance allowing McCormac to acquire and operate a health and fitness business, the "Club at Woodbridge" for a initial cost to taxpayers of $10Million!
At this point there are only two ways to possibly delay or even stop this horric misuse of taxpayer's money: A Law Suit or Public Action!
As someone who believes "We the People" can fight city hall, and have done so in the past ( i.e., getting the Avenel/Colonia First Aid Squad [ACFS] reopened after McCormac closed it with an Executive Order), I am calling upon all the voters in Woodbridge Township to join together to force McCormac and his minions on the Town Council to bend to the will of the people.
As was done with ACFS, we can fight town hall with a Referendum!
If we can gather enough voter signatures on a Petition to place the Referredum on the ballot, "we the people" will approve or reject the acquisition of the Club at Woodbridge.
In that connection, the steps needed to initiate the Petition are being explored with legal counsel. Once all the mechanics of how the Petition must be implemented are know, I will let our community know. At that time, we can come together as a community to tell town hall: You Work for Us!
