WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Multiple units responded to a fire that broke out at a private home on the 300 block of Church Street in Woodbridge Township Monday morning.

The fire was first called in to 911 at 10:30 a.m., said Chief Charlie Kenny of Woodbridge Fire District #1. Mutual aid responded from fire houses throughout Woodbridge, and the fire was under control by 11:30 a.m. or earlier, he said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. He did not know if the home was occupied, but nobody was injured in the blaze. The fire damaged the rear of the home and spread up into the attic, damaging that as well, he said.
