Fire in Edison Home Early Friday Morning

Edison, NJ - There was a fire in a one-story wood-framed residential home early Friday morning in Edison, according to police and fire radio transmissions.

The fire was on Millville Road, and a heavy smoke condition was first reported in the early morning hours Friday. The homeowners reported thick smoke throughout the entire home, and evacuated the building.

The fire appeared to have started in the rec room, and firefighters were able to contain it that room.
