Woodbridge Police Officer Khari Manzini tried to pull the Nissan over because Salman was speeding, but Salman did not stop as directed, said the Attorney General.

Instead, he continued at a high rate of speed down Rt. 1 and ran a red light. Seconds later, he crashed into a car in the area of Gill Lane, said the AG. NJ101.5 reports Salman was going more than 100 miles per hour, but a spokesman for the Attorney General said he could not confirm that, and he does not know where 101.5 got that detail. The police report does say Salman was driving "at speeds greatly in excess of the posted speed limit."
