Iselin Brothers Arrested In Edison Assault Tuesday: Police
Police said the two brothers beat an Edison man in the head, knocking him unconscious.

EDISON, NJ — Two brothers from Iselin were arrested Tuesday evening after beating a man in a North Edison apartment complex, Edison police said.
Eliseo Alonzo-Mendez, 28, and Luis Alonzo-Mendex, 29, were charged with aggravated assault and various weapons charges in connection to the Tuesday evening incident, police said. The brothers allegedly got into an argument with a man near the Hidden Valley Apartment Complex that night, and struck a man with a "pipe or other implement," until he became unconscious police said.
When police arrived around 6:20 p.m., the victim was unconscious and bleeding on the ground. He was being comforted by a brother and a friend, who told police said happened, police said.

The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was admitted.
The Alonzo-Mendez brothers are currently in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick awaiting arraignment, police said.
