Welcome to Woodbridge John O!
For those in Woodbridge Township who may be unaware that John McCormac's third arm, Bob Landolfi, the township's BA, is retiring at the end of December, fear not, the mayor has a replacement. Someone nearly as old and as qualified as was Landolfi, Sen. John O. Bennett.
Really, Oulu not McCormack and 'his' minions on the town council have hired someone other than a not so retired, senior citizen, for the position of Woodbridge Business Administrator?! But I guess McCormac sees real value in hiring John O. The question is: Or Whom!?!

The Auditor understands that sometimes a public worker's pension isn't enough to float them through retirement.
Sometimes it's necessary to pick up another gig or part-time job in retirement, and sometimes it's even necessary to file for unemployment when there's a lapse in work.
Such was the case with former New Jersey Senate co-president John Bennett, who was the state's acting governor for 3 and-a-half days in 2002 when a constitutional quirk left the chief executive's job open.
With the help of work as an attorney for various municipalities and boards of education over the years, Bennett collects an annual pre-tax pension of $90,000.
Bennett is currently a part-time borough administrator for Lavallette, where he earns $80,000 a year for his 25-hour work week. He picked up the job in May, about a month after he left his full time borough administrator gig in Oceanport.
The employment gap spurred Bennett to file for unemployment, which he told the conservative blog Monmouth Musings he collected for three weeks.
Bennett's unemployment checks also caught the attention of Oceanport Councilman Stuart Briskey, who was apparently irked by Bennett's UI claim.
"I just want everybody to know that our former BA, John O. Bennett III, who sat right at this table and said, 'I'm retiring, I love Oceanport, and I'm done, my wife's happy I'm done, we're going to sit back and rest,' filed an unemployment claim," Briskey said at a recent town meeting, according to Monmouth Musings.
