Man Cutting Trees Electrocuted In Edison
The man survived the accident, which happened last Thursday, Aug. 17, but was taken to Saint Barnabas in critical condition.

EDISON, NJ — A man with a tree-cutting service accidentally struck a power line last Thursday in Edison Township and was electrocuted, according to Edison Township firefighters who responded to the scene.
The accident happened last Thursday, Aug. 17 at the corner of Maplewood and Grandview avenues in Edison Township, very close to Roosevelt Park. The man was electrocuted twice, but police, fire and EMS first responders saved his life. CPR was done on the scene and a defibrillator was used. The man was revived and was taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in critical condition. These photos from the scene were provided to Patch.
As of Wednesday, Aug. 23, the man's name and current medical status have not been released by police.
