Man Sentenced For Beating Woman In Head In Edison, Leaving Her For Dead
After being hit in the head multiple times, the woman wandered around Raritan Center for possibly days before she was found by a worker.

EDISON, NJ — An Elizabeth man was sentenced Monday to eight years in New Jersey state prison for severely beating a 30-year-old woman with a section of pipe last year in Raritan Center in Edison.
The gruesome attack happened sometime in the days just before June 21, 2016: Mickey Vanderpool, 61, pictured above, met the woman in Newark and drove her to Raritan Center in Edison, where he repeatedly struck her about the head with the pipe and left her for dead.
The woman wandered around the industrial complex for an unknown amount of time, possibly a day or more, before she was found by a utility worker and asked for help. Police were called to the scene. She was taken to JFK Medical Center in Edison, where she was treated and released.
