Man Shot By Police As Standoff Ends: Reports

Police in Woodbridge reportedly shot a man who barricaded himself after allegedly stabbing two people.

Police shot a murder suspect in Woodbridge following a four-hour standoff Monday, according to reports.

Rodney Jencsik is believed to have stabbed two people in Old Bridge on Monday, News 12 said. He then fled to his home in Woodbridge, where he barricaded himself for several hours, the station reported.

According to NJ.com, police fired two shots at Jencsik, who will be charged with murder if he survives.

Dina Marie Heil, who was allegedly stabbed by Jencsik, was pronounced dead at the hospital, News12 reported. The other victim, who has not been identified, is reportedly still alive.
