ELIZABETH, NJ — The torso of a man was found floating in the Arthur Kill off Elizabeth last week, announced Union County Prosecutor William Daniel and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca in this press release.

It was seen floating in the water at South Front Street on the waterfront in Elizabeth, where the Arthur Kill and Elizabeth River converge, shortly before 5 p.m. last Tuesday, May 16.

It was the torso of a Caucasian male.

The Arthur Kill is the waterway that runs between Middlesex County and Staten Island, and is the main channel of water off Woodbridge, Carteret and Elizabeth.

The torso was examined by the Union County Medical Examiner, who determined the man died via homicide.
