Maxwell's 35, New Bistro in Colonia, Holds Grand Opening

There's a new restaurant in town you might want to check out.

A new bistro had its grand opening in Colonia today.

Maxwell's 35, which portrays itself as a "global bistro", opened its doors today amid a flurry of gayly colored flags and an electronic sign announcing the grand opening news.

The refurbished building, which was known in its last incarnation as the Metropolitan Lounge, boasts a cosmopolitan blend of Asian, French, Mediterranean, and American influences - and heavy on the fish.

The menu is eclectic and interesting. Starters include Pan Seared Sea Scallops with shrimp risotto and sweet corn three roasted garlic sauce. An unusual entree is Salmon Roulade stuffed with leeks and crusted with cracked black peppercorns over dill buerre blanc.

For the more conventional, a New England Bouillabaisse is offered.
