Meditation for a More Peaceful & Healthy Life for Seniors

Free meditation workshop for seniors @ the Woodbridge Main Library!

Our celebration of Older Americans Month continues on Wednesday, May 25 @ 7pm at the Woodbridge Main Library with a meditation program focused on senior citizens.

People of all ages are turning to meditation to help them lead more peaceful, happier and healthier lives. In particular, meditation can aide seniors in reducing feelings of loneliness. The practice of regular meditation may also help them to sharpen their minds and boost their immune systems. Meditation often serves to relieve insomnia and ease chronic pain, especially for those past the age of fifty.

Scientific studies have also proven that the practice of meditation reduces stress and anxiety, as well as decreasing the risk of disease. Many doctors now recommend meditation to their patients, and those who regularly practice meditation attest to its healing power in their lives.
