Meet The New Middlesex County Sheriff's Officers

The ten new officers hail from Woodbridge, Colonia, Old Bridge, Edison, Helmetta, North Brunswick and more:

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — These six new sheriff’s officers and four sheriff's investigators were sworn in by Middlesex County Sheriff Mildred Scott on July 18.

The ten new officers come from a variety of backgrounds and hail from all over Middlesex County.

They are: Christopher Cimilluca (Colonia), Sherman Harris Jr. (Edison), Lauren Gregory (Helmetta), Kyle O’Connor (Laurence Harbor), Raymond Smith (North Brunswick), Joseph Diaz and Desiree Reid (Old Bridge), Janaysia James (Perth Amboy), Joe Fina (Piscataway), and Brian Presti (Woodbridge).

They are all graduates of Mercer County Police Academy, and all went through 21 weeks of training from March 4 through July 18 of this year.

Among the new recruits, two have their associates' degree and four have their bachelor’s degrees. Three of the new members are women.

“I congratulate each of our new officers and investigators and wish them continued success in their careers,” said Sheriff Scott.

“The Board of Chosen Freeholders and I would like to welcome our new sheriff’s officers and investigators, and congratulate them on this milestone,” said Middlesex County Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios. “I know they will do their very best to aid Sheriff Scott and the rest of the sheriff’s office in keeping our county safe.”
