Metuchen Train Station Will Have Extra Police Today, Will Be On 'High Alert': Police
The increase in officers is a precautionary measure, police say.

METUCHEN, NJ-- In response to the pipe bombs found at an Elizabeth train station, Metuchen Police will increase their presence at the Metuchen Train Station, police say.
"We have assigned extra patrols in the area and will be [on] high alert," Sergeant Arthur Flaherty told Patch in an email. He described it as a "precautionary measure" to "increase visibility."
Sergeant Flaherty reminded riders to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police immediately. "See something say something. We all need to be a little more aware," Flaherty said.
