Middlesex Boro Dunkin' Donuts Robbed At Gunpoint In November

The Middlesex borough Dunkin' Donuts and a Dunkin' Donuts on Rt. 18 in East Brunswick were both robbed at gunpoint within three days.

MIDDLESEX, NJ — The Dunkin' Donuts in Middlesex borough was robbed at gunpoint in late November, making it the second Dunkin' Donuts robbed at gunpoint over Thanksgiving weekend this year. The other Dunkin' Donuts that was robbed was in East Brunswick, on Rt. 18 north just south of Edgeboro Road.

The Middlesex Dunkin' Donuts was robbed at 2:53 p.m. on Sunday, November 26. An employee said he was confronted inside the store by a suspect wearing a face covering and gloves and brandishing a silver-colored handgun. The robber escorted the employee to a cash register, from which the robber removed the evening’s receipts before fleeing on foot.

The East Brunswick Dunkin' Donuts was hit three days earlier, in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23.

Police were called to that Dunkin' Donuts at 4:34 a.m. Nov. 23. Employees said the suspect entered the Dunkin' Donuts, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the register. An employee complied and the suspect left the store on foot heading north along Rt. 18. He is described as a light-skinned black male wearing a denim jacket, light blue jeans with work boots, a black scarf over his face and a black wool hat.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
