Middlesex County Teacher Charged with Sending Illicit Photos to Student
A former Sayreville War Memorial teacher now at South Plainfield was arrested Monday. She was a math teacher and also coached cheerleading.

South Plainfield, NJ - A South Plainfield High School teacher has been arrested and charged with sending two inappropriate photos to a male student via social media, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey and Chief James Parker of the South Plainfield Police Department announced Tuesday.
Mallory Christ, 29, of South Plainfield was charged with a second-degree count of endangering the welfare of a child by sending the two photos of herself to the student sometime in February 2016, prosecutors said.
Christ, who was just arrested on Monday, is being held without bail at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick.

The investigation began after school officials learned of the photos, which were posted via social media, and contacted police. Christ, who was employed at the district for two years, worked at the high school as a math teacher, offering courses in algebra to juniors and math to seniors. She also served as the coach of the high school cheerleaders.
She previously was employed as a teacher at Sayreville War Memorial High School.
