WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Carteret man was arrested over the weekend after police say he nearly beat a man to death in an industrial section of Woodbridge. Shabbaaz Virk, 26, of Carteret was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the second degree following a verbal argument that turned physical in the parking lot at 3 Terminal Way, an industrial business area in the Avenel section of Woodbridge. That's 3 Terminal Way pictured in a Google Earth screenshot. Police responded to a 911 call on Friday, August 11 and the victim, a 28-year old man from Bellerose, New York, was then taken to University Hospital in Newark. He is currently listed in serious critical condition.
