Middlesex County Man, 20, Shot and Killed His Father, Prosecutor Says
The man was shot in his home on Friday morning, June 10, and died 24 hours later at Robert Wood Johnson hospital in New Brunswick.

Sayreville, NJ - A 20-year-old Sayreville man was arrested Sunday and charged with fatally shooting his father, the Middlesex County prosecutor's office announced Monday morning.
Vishal Shah was arrested Sunday night and charged with murder in the death of his father, Pradipkum Shah, 53.
The older man was shot in his home on the morning of June 10 and was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on June 11 at 6:25 a.m, authorities said.

The son shot his father once in their home on Lakeview Drive in the Parlin section of Sayreville and then hid the weapon, a .25-caliber handgun, said County Prosecutor Andrew Carey.
The gun since has been recovered by authorities.

Vishal Shah is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $1 million bail.
In addition to murder, the son was charged with hindering his apprehension by hiding the gun that was used in the shooting and was charged with unlawful possession of the weapon, police said.
