Drunk NJ Fire Chief Peed His Pants, Vomited While Driving: Cops

The chief vomited and peed on himself in his car and in his jail cell, according to a police report.

A New Jersey fire chief peed his pants and vomited as he drove while drunk after a recent party, authorities said in a recent report. Rahway Fire Chief William R. Young Jr. was arrested Nov. 11 in Jackson, according to a mycentraljersey.com report, after police received word a white BMW almost hit a bus and was driving "all over the road."

In a police report obtained by mycentraljersey.com, Jackson Police Officer Michael Morizio said he detected an alcohol odor coming from inside the vehicle and saw a vomit stain on Young's sweatshirt. In the report, Morizio said he also saw stains on Young's pants that indicated the fire chief had urinated on himself. Young told the officer he was coming back from a party in Rahway.

Young, 60, apparently was returning home to Jackson after making the hour-long trip from the Rahway party. Phone records identify Young's residence as Jackson.

Young declined to comment when reached by phone on Thursday, referring Patch to his attorney. "There is a lot I could say, but I can't," Young said. He did offer to discuss the matter "when this is all over."

Attempts to reach Young's attorney, Matthew Reisig, were unsuccessful Thursday.

Young needed assistance when he got out of the car during the traffic stop, according to the report. When he was brought into the cell at the police station, Young vomited on the cell block bench, on the floor and into a garbage pail.
