• NJ fire department set to close after 118 years in operation (pix11.com) — Woodbridge Township is closing the Keasbey Fire Department after 118 years, shifting its paid firefighters to nearby Fords in a move officials say will improve safety and cut Keasbey homeowners' taxes by about $1,000 a year. Some firefighters and residents suspect development pressures, and more than 1,400 people have signed a petition opposing the shutdown.
   

• Woodbridge Man Named NJ Sharing Network Foundation's Vice Chair (tapinto.net) — Woodbridge resident Christopher Bryant has been named vice chair of the NJ Sharing Network Foundation, which leads organ donation advocacy across New Jersey. A two-time kidney and pancreas recipient, he now mentors transplant patients and will help guide the foundation's efforts to expand donor awareness and support people awaiting lifesaving transplants.
   

• Hillsborough High School Ranked #73 in New Jersey by US News & World Report (tapinto.net) — Woodbridge Academy Magnet School in the Woodbridge Township Public Schools system has been ranked 75th nationally, putting a local program among New Jersey's eight top-100 high schools. The broader report also boosts Hillsborough High and showcases how New Jersey stacks up in rigorous, STEM-focused education nationwide.
