Perth Amboy Man Sold Bath Salts, Police Say
He admitted to distributing large amounts of ethylone, more commonly known as bath salts or molly, throughout Middlesex County.

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A Perth Amboy man on Tuesday admitted his role in a conspiracy to distribute large amounts of ethylone, more commonly known as bath salts or "molly," throughout Middlesex County, Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick said.
Paul Hutchison, 35, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty in Newark to one count of selling 1.5 kilograms of bath salts. An Oct. 16, 2015 raid of Hutchison’s residence in Perth Amboy revealed that he possessed approximately 1.5 kilograms of ethlyone, which he conspired with others to distribute in and around Middlesex County, police said.
Bath salts can cause hallucinogenic effects.
