Perth Amboy Man, Tanker Truck Driver, Killed In PA Turnpike Crash

The Perth Amboy man was driving a truck carrying jet fuel. He hit two cars stopped in the right-hand lane of the PA Turnpike:

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A truck driver from Perth Amboy was killed in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension over the weekend, the Montgomery County, PA Patch reported.

William Ramos, 63, was identified as the Perth Amboy man who died. James Achey, 57, and Suzette Achey, 52, both of Seaford, Delaware, died as well.

The crash occurred at around 12:30 p.m. on the Turnpike in Worcester, PA.

A car came to a complete stop in the right-hand lane and a second car, driven by the Achey couple, came up behind it to assist, according to authorities.

The tanker truck, driven by Ramos, carrying jet fuel, came up behind the two stopped vehicles and was unable to slow down in time. He slammed into the two stopped vehicles, police said.

Ramos died, as did Achy and his wife, who were the driver and passenger in the second car that stopped to help.
