Perth Amboy Man's Throat Slashed In Argument

A man slashed another man's throat with a bottle Saturday night in Perth Amboy, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor.​

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A man slashed another man's throat with a bottle Saturday night in Perth Amboy, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

This happened at 9 p.m. at a private home on the 300 block of New Street, where police found the 31-year-old Perth Amboy man with a laceration to his throat.

He was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police say the victim and the alleged suspect, Josue Jeronimo, got into an argument, during which Jeronimo slashed the victim’s throat with a bottle.

Jeronimo was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
