Perth Amboy School Security Guard Had Sex With A Minor, Cops Say

Police also say he sent nude photos through social media to two minors. He was a security guard at McGinnis Middle School in Perth Amboy.

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A Perth Amboy school security guard was arrested Thursday and charged with sexually assaulting a minor, the Middlesex County prosecutor's office announced.

Police say that Elios Arias-Aguilar, 25, who worked as a security guard at a middle school, engaged in sexual intercourse at his home in Perth Amboy with a minor who was known to him. Police also say he sent nude photographs through social media to two minors.

Aguilar was employed at the McGinnis Middle School in Perth Amboy as a security guard for approximately two years. He no longer works there.

He was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault in the first degree, one count of sexual assault in the second degree, one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact in the third degree, one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree.

An investigation is being conducted by Detective Riscardo Rosado of the Perth Amboy Police Department and Detective Ryan Tighe of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Aguilar is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center pending a Detention Hearing.
