Police Cite Woodbridge Vape Shop For Operating During Quarantine
Woodbridge police say they've gotten numerous complaints that Good Guy Vapes has been open for business, with customers walking in and out.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A vape shop in Avenel was cited by Woodbridge police Wednesday evening for doing business during the coronavirus quarantine, before small businesses were given the OK to reopen by the state.
The shop is Good Guy Vapes on St. Georges Avenue in Avenel, and Woodbridge police say they have received numerous complaints from residents that it's been open for business, with customers seen walking in and out, according to Woodbridge Police Director Robert Hubner.
At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a detective on patrol saw cars in the parking lot, said Hubner.

"The officer observed people going to the back door and being admitted into the store, and exiting with supplies from the store," Hubner told Patch.
Good Guy Vapes is a franchise with 40+ locations in seven states, corporate CEO Shobi Iqbal told Patch. He said their Avenel location is a franchisee.

"This is a Good Guy Vapes’ franchisee whose actions, if true as alleged, are counter to our policy of remaining closed," said Iqbal. "We understand the governor's actions are meant to protect the citizens of the state and will be checking to see if any other franchisee is in violation of those orders and shutting them down, as well."
Police cited the business for being in violation of the governor's executive order, and Woodbridge police are required to report all violations to the state Attorney General. What the AG will do from there remains unknown.
