Police Investigating Woman Hit By Train Near Woodbridge Station
This is now the third time in two months someone has been hit by a train in Middlesex County; however in this incident, the woman survived.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ - New Jersey Transit Police are still investigating how a woman was hit by a train Saturday near the Woodbridge station, a Transit spokeswoman told Patch. This is now the third time in two months someone has been hit by a train in Middlesex County; however in this incident, the woman survived.
The woman was hit at 11:05 a.m. Saturday by a North Jersey Coast line train traveling from Penn Station to Long Branch. She was struck by the train near the Woodbridge station.
The adult woman was alive and breathing after she was struck, and was taken to the nearby hospital, and service was suspended for only a few minutes Saturday after the incident. However, Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic said she had no other details Thursday about how the woman was struck, including the woman's age or where she was from. There have been two recent deaths caused by train strikes in Central Jersey: After midnight on Dec. 29, a man trespassing on the tracks was hit and killed by a train, also near the Woodbridge station.
