POLL: Are OPRA Requests a Nuisance?

Woodbridge has just made it easier than ever to get government records. In response to the concerns of John Paff, a libertarian who heads the NJ Libertarian Party's Open Government Advocacy Project, the township has and made it simple for citizens to get what they want.

Now you don't even have to fill out the form. All you have to do is answer a few questions in an email to the town clerk, and you can get your response delivered, free, within 7 business days

But will making it easier to get public records put a bigger burden on the clerk's office? Someone has to pay for all that clerical work to ferret out information to fulfill public requests for information.

Are you worried it could put a strain on township resources? Or do you think getting public records and keeping an eye on local government isn't a subject of much interest to the average Woodbridge resident?
