Remembering Pearl Harbor: Songs and Letters of WORLD WAR II

Free performance commemorating 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack @ the Woodbridge Main Library - 12.7.2016 @ 7pm.

Join us for a special Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day event at the Woodbridge Main Library on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 pm. Members of the Traveling Literary Theater will present a moving tribute to the resiliency of the human spirit, and pay homage to the men and women who struggled, fought, lived and died during the tragic years from 1939-1945.

Seasoned professional actors in military costume will share personal letters, quotes and accounts of the war. International jazz singer, Maggie Worsdale, will perform a number of songs that best represent the feeling and mood of the era. This performance is a fitting and uplifting tribute to the memory of those who made up what is now called “the greatest generation.”

Musical selections include: “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” “Taking a Chance on Love,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “The White Cliffs of Dover,” and “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
