ROCKNRECOVERY is a 501c non-profit foundation that provides short term assistance to music professionals in times of need who have suffered a hardship. The foundation was inspired by the events of April 2nd, 2014 at The Iridium Jazz club in New York City, when Karl Cochran, a local New Jersey based musician, suffered a massive stroke shortly after performing with Flavor Flav and the Flavortronz. He experienced the first symptoms at the end of the second show that night, when he lost vision in one eye. According to ROCKNRECOVERY's site, "on that night, Karl’s repeated expressions of what he was experiencing, such as sudden severe headache, loss of vision in one eye, and his reports of his one arm feeling very heavy, were sounds we weren’t used to hearing. We just didn’t know."

The foundation strives to share their experiences of what occurred, not only of that night, but the long road to recovery that has followed for Karl, as well as many other stroke survivors like him.

All proceeds from that show will go to ROCKNRECOVERY to help in their mission to inform people of the symptoms and warning signs of a stroke, to act as an advocate for, and provide support term assistance to, music professionals who have suffered a similar hardship.

ROCKNRECOVERY also accepts donations through their site through secure PayPal transactions.
