Sayreville Man, 22, Sentenced To 25 Years For Killing Father
The son admitted to shooting his father once in their home on Lakeview Drive in the Parlin section of Sayreville on June 10, 2016.

SAYREVILLE, NJ — A 22-year-old man from Sayreville was sentenced Thursday to serve 25 years in a New Jersey state prison for fatally shooting his father.
Vishal Shah was sentenced Thursday in New Brunswick by Superior Court Judge Colleen Flynn, for aggravated manslaughter in the death of his 53-year old father, Pradipkumar Shah.
The young man pleaded guilty on March 13 of this year to one count of aggravated manslaughter.

An investigation by Detective Amy Noble of the Sayreville Police Department and Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that the son shot his father once in their home on Lakeview Drive in the Parlin section of Sayreville on June 10, 2016 at 9:43 a.m. and then hid the weapon, a .25-caliber handgun.
Pradipkumar Shah died the following day at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

The 25-year prison term is subject to the No Early Release Act. As such, Vishal Shah will have to serve 85 percent of the term before he can be released on parole.
