Shoplifting Attempt At Colonia Home Depot, Police Say

A Garwood man tried to walk out with copper wires last Sunday, a store security officer said.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Garwood man was charged with attempting to steal more than $500 worth of copper wires from the Woodbridge Twp. Home Depot in Colonia last Sunday, police said.

Wilfred Class, 46, of Garwood was seen on the store's CCTV cameras lifting up the copper wiring and trying to walk out without paying for it, one of the store's loss prevention officers alleged. Police were called; he was arrested and released on a summons. The total value of the wiring was $528.
