Shoplifting At Woodbridge Walmart Saturday, Police Say
A Perth Amboy woman was arrested Saturday and charged with trying to shoplift over $400 worth of items from the Woodbridge Walmart on Rt. 9.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Perth Amboy woman was arrested Saturday and charged with trying to shoplift over $400 worth of items from the Woodbridge Walmart on Rt. 9 north.
A loss-prevention officer at the Walmart said they observed Rachel Torres, 29, on CCTV cameras Saturday putting store merchandise inside her black pocketbook and then attempting to walk out of the store, according to a Woodbridge police report.
She was stopped by store security and the items recovered included DVD players, clothing, medicine and decals, police said. Torres was charged with shoplifting and taken to Woodbridge police headquarters where she was booked and processed.
