Team Cind'ys Stars to Participate in Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK Oct 21

Team Cindy's Stars is walking in the LLS LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Dear Family, Friends and Co-workers:

I am once again forming a team for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light The Night Walk, and I hope you will join me.

Light The Night Walk is LLS’s annual walk and fundraising event and the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Teams of friends, family and co-workers raise funds for LLS’s mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Walkers carry illuminated lanterns — white for survivors, red for supporters and gold for those who have lost a loved one to blood cancer.

As you may know, we walk in loving memory of my mother, Lucinda Dingman, who succumbed to Leukemia on February 21, 2009. Since 2009, our team, Team Cindy’s Stars, has raised over $30,000 towards finding a cure for blood cancers.

All walkers who raise $100 or more individually by walk night receive a Light the Night T-shirt, illuminated lantern and a food and beverage bracelet.

Please consider walking on my team and making a commitment to raising funds. If you can’t participate, then please make a donation.
