UPDATE: 3 Shot At N.J. Turnpike Rest Area; Rapper Questioned: Cops
Three people were shot at a rest area on Friday. Story developing.
Three people were shot at a New Jersey Turnpike rest area on Friday, police said. The three men were in serious, but stable condition as of Saturday morning.
At 6:41 p.m., troopers from Troop “D” Cranbury Station were dispatched to the Thomas Edison Service area as part of a medical assist in a car accident, police said. When they arrived, they discovered that three people sustained gunshot wounds while in a vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The three victims were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact NJSP Cranbury Station at 732-441-4500 Ext. 4400. Anonymous tips are welcome.

NBC4 New York provided an update Saturday morning:

A Mercedes van with a shot-out window was towed away for evidence. The incident is under investigation and additional information will be provided as it becomes available, police said.
