VFW Post To Hold Service In Remembrance Of Woodbridge Marine

The Colonia VFW Post #6061 will hold a service Sunday in remembrance of U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kevin Reinhard.

The 25-year-old from the Colonia section of Woodbridge died in 2012 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

The service begins 11:15 a.m. at the gazebo in Charlie Shaughnessy Park. At noon, there will be a flag-raising and memorial service at the Colonia VFW Post, across the street from the park, according to a notice from the township.

Earlier this week, township officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new, affordable senior housing community named in Reinhard’s memory.

The new Reinhard Manor opened at the site of the long-vacant School 2/16 in the Colonia section of town.
