WATCH: Video Shows Former Gov. Jim McGreevey Thrown Out Of Meeting

Former Gov. Jim McGreevey left office on his own, but he didn’t have a choice when he was thrown out of a community meeting in Jersey City this week.
The video was recorded by a local activist and published on nj.com, showing the moment McGreevey was dismissed from a Tuesday community meeting about a new prisoner re-entry center planned for the former Sacred Heart Church priory.
In the video and in the report, the moderator of the meeting, Joan Terrell, a former council aide, threatens to have security escort the former governor from the meeting, saying:

“This is not Jim McGreevey’s meeting. This is our meeting.”
McGreevey has worked to resurrect his image since leaving office in 2004 under a cloud of controversy, proclaiming he is a “gay American” on the day of his resignation announcement.

In 2007, McGreevey was accepted to General Theological Seminary, and received the degree of Master of Divinity that’s required to become an Episcopal priest. In July 2013, McGreevey was appointed head of Jersey City‘s Employment & Training Program.
That recent track record didn’t impress Terrell when McGreevey tried to speak during the meeting, and when Terrell cut him off.
“We would ask that you please leave,” she said.
“Is that the consensus of everybody?” the former governor asks.
The audience said “yes,” and McGreevey left by telling everyone, “God bless.”
