A Note of Appreciation To The Home News Tribune For Running My Story In Today's Opinion Section Of Their Paper About The Highly Questionable Acquisition of The Club at Woodbridge By Mayor John McCormac and His Minions On The Town Council!
In their rush to sate Mayor John McCormac’s seemingly endless graving for fun and games, at taxpayer expense, each and every member of the town council has completely ignored their fiduciary duties to their constituents by passing an Ordinance authorizing McCormick's acquisition of the Club, inclusive of its real property, fitness, child day care and medical rehabilitation operations, absent of ANY DUE DILIGENCE !
NO building inspections, NO Financial disclosures (Profit &Loss, NO property Appraisal and, perhaps, worst of all, NO Radon, Methane Gas or Soil Samples on a property with an active petroleum pipeline (which failed in a hydrostatic test a year ago)running behind it, and a property which may or may not have been contaminated by leakage of methane gas and/or chemical runoff from the Township’s Community Center, which sets atop of a capped toxic land fill!
If tax money doesn’t matter to McCormac and his minions on the town council, by God, the safety and welfare of our citizens and children damn well should!
Please, everyone, join with your other concerns residents in demaning ‘full disclosure’ from McCormac and his Administration, inclusive of all inspection and testing reports, and financial disclosures any credible lending institution would demand before spending a dime on such an acquisition!
Together, ‘We the People’ can insist that our State Officials and Agencies, and the Bond Company that will issue the Bonds needed to fund acquisition, ensure the ‘MacTeam’ is playing by the rules!
