Woman Critical After Hit And Run In Linden
A Fanwood woman remains in critical condition after she was hit by a hit-and-run driver just before 2 a.m. Sunday in Linden.

LINDEN, NJ — A Fanwood woman remains in critical condition after she was hit by a hit-and-run driver just before 2 a.m. this past Sunday, Jan. 20 while crossing the street in Linden.
At approximately 1:55 a.m. on Sunday, January 20, Linden police responded to the area of North Wood Avenue and St. George's Avenue for a call of a serious auto-pedestrian crash, Linden police said.
Investigators believe that the vehicle was traveling south on Wood Ave when it struck the woman as she crossed the street. The vehicle fled the scene and was last seen traveling south on N. Wood Ave, police said.

The victim, identified as a 35-year-old woman from Fanwood, was treated on scene by the Linden fire department personnel and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Hospital in Rahway.
She was transported to Newark University Hospital with critical injuries.
