The state Department of Law and Public Safety on Friday released the 2013 Uniform Crime Report. The data shows New Jersey’s overall crime rate decreased by seven percent in 2013, compared to 2012, according to a news release from the state.
In Woodbridge, there were 138 violent crimes reported in 2013, up from 124 in 2012. The per capita violent crime rate was 1.4 percent, up from 1.2 percent.

There were 2,065 non-violent crimes reported in 2013, up from 2,014 the previous year. The per capita non-violent crime rate was 20.6 percent in 2013, compared with 20.1 percent in 2012.
