Woodbridge Fireworks 2016: Your Complete Guide

It promises to be one of the largest 4th of July fireworks on displays and entertainment events in New Jersey.

Woodbridge, NJ - Here's a reminder that Woodbridge Township will host its annual Independence Day fireworks celebration on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Alvin P. Williams Park on the Sewaren Waterfront, in what will be one of the largest Independence Day fireworks displays and entertainment events in New Jersey.

The rain date is Tuesday, July 5. Edison's fireworks will be Monday, July 4th, at Papaianni Park, across from the Municipal Complex. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with music by Black Rose and followed by Bobby Bandiera’s Band. There also will be food vendors and kiddie rides. Fireworks begin at approximately 9 p.m.

In Woodbridge, gates open at 4 p.m. The festivities kick-off with live music by AM GOLD at 6:00 p.m., followed by the incredible "Bringing the Night to Life" fireworks display choreographed to music at dusk. This year, the fireworks will be simulcast on 1079 WOLD radio.

The Woodbridge Township fireworks draws thousands of residents. There will be more than 25,000 shots fired electronically by computers in synchronization to a wide selection of patriotic and contemporary music.

Alvin P. Williams Park will be closed during the day to allow for the fireworks set-up. The gates will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park.

Reminder that all types of fireworks are illegal in Woodbridge Township; violators WILL be prosecuted. Anyone found guilty of using fireworks illegally can be fined up to $500.
