Woodbridge High School Baseball Team Raises Money for Pediatric Cancer
The team wore gold laces this spring to raise awareness of pediatric cancer.

Woodbridge, NJ - The Woodbridge High School Baseball team led their school in raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer by participating in Go4theGoal’s Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign.
That's why you might have seen the young men playing in gold laces: The Woodbridge Barrons laced up with the cancer charity's signature gold laces, and the team also sold the laces to their fellow students. Their efforts raised over $1,200. Funds from the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer campaign go to Go4theGoal’s patient assistance and program support at local treatment facilities.
“The Woodbridge baseball program every year attempts to give back to the community,” said the team's coach Lou Urbano. “The past two years have been for autism awareness, but this year we felt raising awareness for pediatric cancer would help raise awareness for something that is sometimes overlooked by the general population. Our players took great pride in raising money to help benefit children in need and the entire school seemed to rally behind them as well to support this great cause.”
