What percentage of Woodbridge students earned their diplomas last year?

Woodbridge, NJ - The New Jersey Department of Education released the latest graduation rate totals on Wednesday, reporting that the state’s overall high school graduation rate rose to 89.7% in 2015 from 88.6% in 2014.

How did Woodbridge area seniors stack up? Right on part with the statewide average, it turns out.

89% of seniors at Woodbridge High graduated in 2015, according to the data. That’s down from 93% of the senior class that graduated in 2012.

Colonia High School and John F. Kennedy Memorial High School were both at 93%. Rahway High School was also at 89%. Edison High School was at 90% while J.P. Stevens High School in Edison Township was at 97%.

This is the fourth straight year that New Jersey’s high school graduation rate has increased, and the third consecutive year in which it grew by at least a full percentage point, DOE officials said.
