Woodbridge Man, 21, Killed In Linden Motorcycle Crash

A man from the Fords section of Woodbridge has been identified as the person killed in a motorcycle crash in Linden Wednesday night.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A man from the Fords section of Woodbridge has been identified as the person killed in a motorcycle crash in Linden Wednesday night.

Tragically, Moustafa Elgendi, 21, of Fords, was killed while riding his motorcycle on Roselle Street in Linden. Elgendi was a graduate of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Woodbridge, and he played on the varsity football team there. He graduated from the high school in 2015.

Linden police say Elgendi was driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle north on Roselle Street in the area of Monmouth Avenue when he collided with a 2007 Honda CRV at approximately 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.

Elgendi was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda CRV, a 21-year-old man from Brooklyn, had to be airlifted to Newark University Hospital. He was quite badly injured as well, and remains in critical condition as of Thursday afternoon.

The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Department Traffic Bureau, and anyone with information urged to contact Inv. Peter Kozak at (908) 474-8505.
