Woodbridge Man Admits To DUI That Killed Friend, Of Colonia
Tayib Mahmood, 29, of Woodbridge admitted he was drunk when he caused a car accident that killed his friend, Tahir Jamile, 27, of Colonia.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A 29-year-old Woodbridge man pleaded guilty Thursday in causing the death of his 27-year old passenger in Piscataway on May 6, 2018, while driving while intoxicated.
Tayib Mahmood, 29, of Woodbridge, the operator of the car, pleaded guilty yesterday to vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.
Under a plea agreement reached with Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Abrams, Mahmood will be sentenced to a prison term of seven years for causing the crash that killed Tahir Jamile, 27, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge.

Police say that in the early morning hours of May 6, 2018, Mahmood was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry when he hit a concrete barrier on Stelton Road near Jessie Way and the car caught fire. The passenger, Tahir Jamile, was pronounced dead at the scene.
