Woodbridge Police Hires 6 New Patrol Officers
WPD is currently at its maximum staffing level of 233 sworn officers. The six new officers are:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — On Thursday, Mayor John McCormac swore in six new police officers to the Woodbridge Township Police Department (WPD).
The new officers successfully completed the state-mandated six-month New Jersey Police Training Commission Academy at the Cape May County Police Training Academy and will take up patrol assignments in the Radio Patrol Division.
“The public safety mission of the Woodbridge Police Department is our most important priority," said McCormac. "As a result of our commitment to public safety, combined with the increased assignment of uniformed officers to street patrol, the Woodbridge Police Department continues to maintain police ranks at a maximum staffing level of 233 sworn officers."

The six newly hired offices are:
WPD Officer Samuel Senatore, Badge #766

Senatore, 27, is a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township. He is a graduate of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. He was previously employed with Woodbridge-based business AWISCO working as a dock worker/cylinder tech, maintaining the position since 2021. His uncle, Glenn Senatore, is a retired Woodbridge Police Officer. Senatore is a graduate of the Cape May County Police Academy and will take-up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
WPD Officer Matthew Kammerer, Badge #767
Kammerer, 29, resides in Woodbridge Township. Officer Kammerer graduated from Washington Township High School before attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Society. Kammerer was previously employed by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office as a Detective, the New Jersey State Parole Department as a Parole Officer, and the New York City Police Department as a police officer. Kammerer also interned with the United States Marshalls Service. He holds certifications as a Defensive Tactics instructor and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course instructor. He is a recent graduate of the John H Stamler Police Academy and will take-up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
WPD Officer Max Fasano, Badge #769
Fasano, 31, is a life-long resident of Woodbridge Township. He graduated from Woodbridge High School before attending Middlesex College, where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Physical Education. Fasano was previously employed by Apple, Inc. assigned to the Operations Division since 2015. Fasano served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Woodbridge Township Police Department. His brother Jake, and sister in-law, Samantha are current Woodbridge Police Officers. Additionally, Fasano’s mother Geri Fasano is a longtime employee of Woodbridge Township. He is a graduate of the Cape May County Police Academy and will take-up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
WPD Officer Jason Torre-Grasso, Badge #770
Torre-Grasso, 19, is a resident of Woodbridge Township. He is a graduate of Colonia High School and is currently enrolled at Middlesex College where he is working to obtain his degree in Electrical Engineering. He was previously employed by Weldon Materials as a plant worker and Urban Air in Avenel as a staff member. His step-father, Anthony, is a police officer with the Linden Police Department. Torre-Grasso is a graduate of the Cape May County Police Academy and is assigned to the Radio Patrol Division.
WPD Officer Hernan Torres, Badge #771
Torres, 23, resides in Woodbridge Township. He is a graduate of Woodbridge High School and was enrolled at Middlesex College to obtain a degree in criminal justice. Torres was previously employed at Dress to Shine - a family-owned business in Avenel - as the packing and sales manager. Torres also served as an Auxiliary Officer with the Woodbridge Township Police Department. He is a graduate of the Cape May County Police Academy and will take-up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
WPD Officer Jordan Harris, Badge #776
Harris, 22, is a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township. Officer Harris graduated from Woodbridge High School before enrolling at Utica College - William Paterson University where he played collegiate football while studying to obtain a degree in criminal justice and criminology. Harris was previously employed by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office as a Sheriff’s Officer. He is a graduate of the Monmouth County Police Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
