Woodbridge Township To Hold Free Rabies Clinic For Dogs And Cats
A pet micro-chip clinic will also be held at the Woodbridge Health Center. There is a $25 fee for the micro-chip.

The Woodbridge Health Department is sponsoring a free rabies clinic for dogs and cats this week.
According to a township news release:
The free rabies inoculation program, for dogs and cats owned by Woodbridge residents, will be held Monday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza, next to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School.

The department’s Animal Control Division will also hold a pet micro-chip clinic at the health center on the same days from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is a $25 fee for the micro-chip.
Local veterinarians will come to the health center to administer the pet micro-chips. The fee includes the micro-chip, administration, lifetime pet i.d., and registration with Home Again, the national pet recovery database.

Dogs and cats that are at least five-months-old must be licensed and inoculated in Woodbridge. Pet licenses, proof of prior rabies inoculation and spay/neuter certificates must be presented at the time of inoculation (except for first-time pet inoculations.)
Pet licenses may be also purchased at the rabies clinic.
Dog license fees are $18 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered, and $15 for dogs that are spayed or neutered. Cat licenses are $23 for non-spayed/neutered and $13 for spayed/neutered. There is a reduced pet license fee for senior citizens.
The rabies clinic is also open to South Amboy and Roselle Park residents.
Dogs must be leashed and cats must be contained in a closed carrier.
