Woodbridge Woman, 25, Killed In Oregon Car Crash

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A 25-year-old Woodbridge Twp. woman was killed over the weekend in a high-speed head-on crash in Oregon.
Al Hera Islam, 25, was a passenger in a 2003 Honda Accord that was hit head-on by another car on the Tualatin Valley Highway in Cornelius, Oregon this past Saturday, Nov. 17. Cornelius is a town outside Portland.
Islam is from the Iselin section of Woodbridge, NJ.com reported.

At 7 p.m. a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat had been driving west on the highway, and crossed over the center median, where it drove head-on into the Honda Accord. The high-speed crash left both vehicles heavily damaged and the Honda briefly caught fire.
There were four people in the Honda and two people in the Dodge and all were taken to Portland hospitals with injuries.

Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, Islam died of her injuries at a local hospital.
"Ms. Islam was from New Jersey and her family members there were notified of her death," said the Washington County Sheriff's office in a statement.
A 29-year-old man who was also a passenger in the Honda was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The other two occupants of the Honda, a man and woman, as well as both occupants of the Dodge, also a man and woman, remain hospitalized with injuries varying from serious to critical.
Investigators are looking at high speed as a factor in the crash and criminal charges are possible in the future.
