Woodbridge Woman, 80, Killed By Car On Mother's Day

BREAKING: The older woman was killed while crossing the street in Edison Township Sunday night.

EDISON, NJ — An 80-year-old Woodbridge woman was struck and killed by a car Sunday night in Edison Township, it was announced Tuesday. The woman, who lives in Woodbridge Township, was apparently crossing Woodbridge Avenue near Pilegis Court in Edison at 8:15 p.m. Sunday when she was struck by a Honda Accord, said a spokesman for the Edison Township police department.

Police have not released the woman’s name pending notification of her family.

The driver, an Edison woman, 46, has not been charged in connection with the accident, police said. We will update this story with more information as we get it.
