Zumba Gold(R) and Gentle Yogalates

Free Zumba Gold & Gentle Yogalates classes @ the Woodbridge Main Library!

On Thursday, July 07, July 14, and August 11, 2016, from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Woodbridge Main Library join licensed instructor Laurie Fechter for free Zumba Gold® and Gentle Yogalates classes. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong!


Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle; towel optional. Please dress comfortably. Class is appropriate for beginners or experienced practitioners. Each free class will run approximately 45 minutes and you can join us for either one or both sessions.


Zumba Gold® is perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. The Zumba Gold® class begins @ 6:30pm in the Main Library’s 1st Floor Meeting Room.

Gentle Yogalates uses postures from yoga and exercises from Pilates to promote balance, well-being, core strength, good posture and alignment, proper breathing, flexibility, and relaxation. The Gentle Yogalates class begins @ 7:15pm. It will be held in the Library’s 1st Floor Meeting Room and it is done barefoot in standing, seated and lying positions.


Classes are taught by Laurie Fechter. Laurie is an experienced and licensed fitness instructor with AFAA Group Fitness Instructor certification. She specializes in working with seniors and children. Laurie is also licensed in all specialties of Zumba® Fitness and she is a certified mat and standing Pilates instructor through PhysicalMind Institute.
