2 People Killed By Train In Hackensack Identified

The man and woman were standing in the middle of the tracks near the Anderson Street train station, officials said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The two Hackensack residents killed by a NJ Transit train in their hometown Wednesday have been identified.

Keith Daisley, 51, and Regina Eller, 48, were killed while they were standing in the middle of the tracks at Main Street and Terrace Place, said Nancy Snyder, a NJ Transit spokesperson confirmed.

Daisley and Eller were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center shortly after the 1:30 p.m. accident where they were pronounced dead, Officer-in-Charge Capt. Francesco Aquila said in a statement Tuesday.

None of the 130 customers and crew members on the train reported any injuries, Snyder said.
